The above puzzling definitions came up when I was looking for the meaning of "declare", as in "declare war".

The reason I was looking it up should be obvious. I was wondering if dead soldiers are political capital (which you'd expect would have a plot, or a burial plot at the least) on wallstreet, or if death, blood, bones, PTSD, and depression is a "tax".

Either way, I can't see that anyone is accounting for it. Is it possible that we need to add the $ symbol before our kids' names?

Justice Requires Accountability...

Congressman,
Those of us left here at johnconyers.com, we implore upon you to press for complete investigations and real accountability for any person(s) involved with and in the intent to commit acts of torture. The act of torture alone, is a gross misrepresentation of American Justice as it is in direct violation of ALL Treaties and Conventions by the U.S.A. to abide to in accordance to said Treaties. This should not be limited to those who actually carried out said orders to commit war crimes, but should also include those agents involved in designing and institutionalizing said practices and policies, including those who authorized the war crime, itself.

ANY failure to press for full investigations and consequences for agents involved is, by itself, a failure of Justice and the Rule of Law. Such a failure will not only be seen as cowardice but an intentional disrespect for the Rule of Law.

As the People's Representative elected to ensure that the Department of Justice actually complies to the Rule of Law, this oweness falls to your feet as the D.O.J. has apparently failed to appropriate the necessary cooperation into ANY investigation into the policy of torture. Instead, the D.O.J. has assisted in orchestrating a defense for an Administration that has attempted to allow the itself the ability to becomes superior to the Rule of Law.

Is it not your Duty to rectify this obvious imbalance? Why do you hesitate?

Q U E S T I O N:

If Obama insists on "returning to the fundamental practice of NOT engaging in torture," is he not admitting his knowledge that indeed, under the Bush Administration, Laws governing the use of torture have been violated and broken, that a policy was set and authorized and therefore needs to be abandoned as as to "RETURN TO" the Rule of Law? Then how can Obama not pursue Justice and claim to be pursuing the path that leads us back into the fold of the Rule of Law?

Whether Bush pardons the crimes all together, thus granting an admission that indeed, the pardoned were following the orders of the Bush Administration to violate international law, or Obama insists on acknowledging the need to "RETURN" from which America departed from, thus an admittance that Obama is aware of the level of the crime itself, neither can be ignored as this is the current dilemma America now faces. Should Obama choose to not seek investigations and consequential accountability for war crimes, it shall be seen as tacit permissiveness...
... That ANY President of the U.S.A. can be a war criminal.

Will Bush be seen as the sole guilty President, or will Obama inherit the banner of tacit permissiveness for such an allowance?

As the current presiding Chairman, that decision rests at your feet, doesn't it?

Help your boy out and start the process NOW! Dissolve him of that acknowledgment he owns when he becomes the next President of the U.S.A. That acknowledgment of yes, Barack Obama did know that under George W. Bush, war crimes were not only authorized by George W. Bush and carried out by his underlings, but that such actions then are now being sanctioned as no level of accountability rests with ANY president of the U.S.A.

A gross misrepresentation of the intent of our Founders, NO? Anathema to America...
